I've been adding mods today and realised that we have no comprehensive list of codes on this forum.

So here is the full list (as of right now), they have been checked however I hold no responsibility if you mess up!

I'll keep adding them as new ones are found

Please post any others I've missed or any mistakes and I'll add them to the list.

These have been tested completely on pre-facelift. Most should work on a facelift car however there are a couple that won't or need to be completed a different way.

The only mods that work on the Chorus, Concert or Symphony stereo are the ones that don't use hidden menu options. The hidden menu is not accessible from chorus or symphony stereos.

Much thanks to the creator of this thread!

But now I am trying to figure out the coding to disable the tail light side marker...

Anyone?

Image

09 – Cent. Elect.] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 10 Submodule 0
Bit 3 - Set to 0 to disable amber side markers (U.S. vehicles)

This only seems to disable the front...

EDIT:

Here is the coding to disable the rear side markers and confirmed on PRE-FACELIFT ONLY I believe the coding is different for facelift vehicles.

Central Convenience
Security - Enter 16017
Adaptations
Enter Channel 209 and Write Down The Number
Enter Channel 210 and Write Down The Number
Channels 209 and 210 - Change to "0" (That's the number zero)

Cool, got a VAGCOM lead and program to have a play this weekend :)

Prob gonna mess it all up hahaha.

Will take screenshots etc before hand ;)

#412 ·
Whatever settings/coding you change - make absolutely sure you make a note of the existing coding/settings for a module and what precisely you change. It's the only way you'll be able to go back and undo anything that you might not notice immediately as causing a problem

If you want to learn how all the steps work, do the TPMS activation if you have the correct ABS controller. You need to download the read the coding guide as the long coding element is far from obvious!

#414 ·
Thanks, I took screenshots of all the codes before I made any changes and so far all seems ok.

How do I do the TPMS as the link in the op is dead?

What Are the best/Necessary VCDS mods

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering what the best VCDS mods were in your opinion.

My brother is a master tech at Audi and has got VAGCOM and the lead he is coming over this weekend and is going to do dome mods for me but I wondered what you guys had done and what you found enhanced the car the most.

I have 2010 A5 Sline Special edition 2.0tdi.

It has MMI 2G High with HDD NAV.

Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks

#415 ·
Found it

Click "56-Radio"
Click "Coding 07"
Click "Long Coding Helper"
TAB to "Byte 8" or click it
Check "Bit 6: TPMS Settings Active
Close "Long Coding Helper" Window
Click "Do It!"

#416 ·
I think it's about time I updated the OP! Seems to have been neglected for a while with all these extra posts.

What is ADS?

I just done the mirror dipping on the passenger side. Can this be done on the drivers too and can you set how far it dips as at the moment its not a lot?

Also activated the TPMS and the option is up but greyed out, does this mean I cant use it?? Or do you have to activate it in someway??

#420 ·

Audi Drive Select - you chance the characteristics of the car. Ie put it into comfort, dynamic mode etc.

No, the dipping mirror is only available on the passenger side. Your right, it doesn't did far enough for me. I don't use it for that reason.

#421 ·
One of the coding options it says on your list as you select 2 for this is something to do with memory position or something? I thought this might have something to do with it as it work with this 2nd option not ticked also

#422 ·
Not sure what you mean without looking at it. I'm 99.9% sure you can't do move any more due to limitations of the non folding mirrors. However..... I'm happy to be proved wrong!

#423 ·
Hmm, it actually says to tick Bit 3 and change Bit 2 to 1 but both mine are only tick options, I don't have the ability to select 1 but one of them, Bit 2 or 3 says something about memory position.

I'll be playing again later so will have a gander and a fiddle :)

Any idea on the TPMS at all?

Massive thanks for all this btw :)

#424 ·
Does anybody know Audi's stance on doing things like enabling ADS while the car is still under an approved used style warranty?

I presume they will try to push for invalidating the warranty if they could see it was done?

#426 ·
they didnt care about mine and i even warned them over the error before it went in. its an Audi feature that is on the car they shouldnt have a leg to stand on unlike having a remap done. i kept quiet about that one

#427 ·
No my question.. the Average MPG

is there a way to change how this increments?? eg my car will go 46.4 mpg to 47.0 then 47.7

its annoys the hell out of me. any one know if i can force it to increments of 0.1 like real time data?

#428 ·
Figured the TPMS, it won't work on my module as I have the 1AS.

Now another question, I have the sensors on my door handle for the keyless entry but I don't think I have ever tried if I have keyless entry? I don't think I do as Im sure I have seen the option disabled in the VCDS.

Can I simply turn these on and see if it works?

#429 ·
You only have keyless entry of you car has advanced key. You'll know if you have advanced key if you have a start/stop button

#431 ·
Ah, I do not have start/stop button.

So then I think Im done with the Vagcom mods?

Not sure what some are tbh like the Aux heating. Is that have the ac on while car still locked or something like that?

#430 ·
You will have the rectangular groove in your handle regardless

#432 ·
Yes, you can turn the blowers on at set times. So in summer of you know you leave work at 5pm you can have the car blow the hot air out from 4.50pm. It doesn't use the AC as the engine isn't on.

#434 · (Edited)
I don't think it is on the chorus/symphony. It wasn't something I activated on my B8 A4 with that stereo and I'm sure I would have if I could have.

#435 ·
ODIS To carry out the coding mods

Hi Guys, Does anybody know if you can carry out these mods on ODIS software and not VAGCOM and if so how? Thanks

#436 ·
If you have access to ODIS then changing the parameters will be a similar process. The steps however will not be the same.

#437 ·
Does anyone know if there is a code that enables the car to do the windows up automatically if the rain sensor senses rain?

A friend mentioned it to me but didn't know if it worked or where he heard it from.

#441 ·
S5 2010 have no 07 control head, it's for MMI2G till 09/2008. If You have MMI 3G it's in address 5F, or for Symphony it's in 56.

Radio preset list

Everytime you start a car again, the scroll-button on the steering wheel lets you scroll through ALL available radio stations (listed by frequency). You have to look at the dashboard, scroll all the way up, to "Memory list", click on that, and only then you will be scrolling through your favorites, i.e. preset channels. Well, this is really annoying as it distracts you attention for quite some time (if you stop scrolling up, the selector is back to current line in 1 sec.) - to the extent that this scroll-button became unusable for me. I only use it for phone options.

Is there a way to tell MMI that I want to always start in the preset radio channels list???
I.e. Default list = Memory list.

No, there isn't.

#443 ·
Does anyone know if it's possible to get the volume of radio/CD to lower when you put car in reverse? Is this available to unlock on a 58 plate coupe?

#444 ·
I'm sure that you do this through the cars menu.
