MMI 3G+/3GP navigation 6.31.1 and firmware updates - currently 2020/2021

Great job CONGO and fastness in maps 2017, I am already downloading, I have mmi 3g hdd (6.22.4), my question is:
For mm 3g + the activator serves the Vlasof.
For mmi 3g hdd the activator I have to use the post of "adrian" for mmi 3g hdd? Or already having 6.22.4 I do not need activator?

Just put all files on sd card without folders LIT, LIT2 and LIT3, enter green menu, chose user defined under swdl and start update with entering engeneering menu Car+back. You have to enter in AUDI_MMI3G_ECE and manually tick all the options without ticking bootloader and then start update.

With exactness I do not know, but in another forum, they have noticed that the 900 firmware marks it with N and the 942 with S. Yesterday I hung a photo, of that forum, and advised to go from 900 to 942. For the rest of Models A6 .. That firmware came out. I can by Mp pass that link. a greeting

Thnx for the heads up. Any idea where can I find the K942 firmware for A6? In any case I will hold on to the current setup until there is more information on 2017 maps and firmware related issues.

Hi I had also the same problem as you with downloading the files (limitations) and a fix IP address.

After downloading the MEGA files in 4 days (problem with quote limitation).
I extracted the files on a PC with 7zip and had 4 errors on these files:
\pkgdb\XAC\kN161EUx08_0.db
\pkgdb\XAC\XAC.conf
\pkgdb\XAC2\kN161EUx08_1.db
\pkgdb\XAC2\XAC2.conf

So I do not dare to use the extracted files with these errors to install on my audi.

I've shared on my cloud drive a part, can you upload those files?

Just to reassure you, I yesterday updated my maps to 6.24.2 on my A6, after first doing K900, 6.22.4 and activation with Vlasoff (as per the PDF manual in the first post).

I think 6.24.2 updated the MapStyles also, but I did not change the default selection on anything but the AUDI_MMI3G_ECE which was set to "?" this last time (while updating to 6.24.2, that is). After my first update to 6.22.4 I had to update GEMMI, CombiStyles and MapStyles again as my Google Earth wasn't working (those three were automatically selected when I did the map installation the second time). So if you didn't do a second GEMMI update, you may have MapStyles set to N on 6.24.2, or you may not; best way is to just begin the update up to the point where you can select modules, and see what it offers you before actually starting the update. If something looks out of the ordinary, you can always chicken out an cancel at that point :wink2:

Also, just stumbled on TSB 2030465-10 while googling for K942 (can't post links yet, so you'll have to dig it up yourselves). What's interesting, is that the TSB seems to imply that BOSE sound system not updating correctly is a common occurrence, and by retrying it a few times during the update one could successfully update it. I have B&O myself, so I can't test this, but if someone with BOSE wants to take their chances then maybe it's worth a shot to try this "dealer method".

The TSB also contains interesting info regarding the different software versions and what they fix; unfortunately, K900 and K942 are in the same range, so exactly what has changed in K942 can't be seen from there, but at least some of the issues fixed after K814 are listed.

I scanned for errors in vcds after maps update to 6.24.2 and got 1 fault in module 5F 03389 Data set implausible. How to remove that fault? Btw navigation is working fine and all other features.

No I dont have bose or b&o. I found on the internet that is related with bose sound and it may have problems with sound balance and fader but my sound is fully functional. I didnt noticed any problems.

Should I try to update maps again with other setup options in user defined mode?
