Thanks for all this info!

I've just bought an Audi A4 Avant 2012 with MMI 3g plus.

Mediaversie:
HN+_EU_AU3G_P0530
Navi databankversie:
8R0060884AH ECE 5.13.8

So now I want to update directly to K0900 (8R0906961EB €A4, A€5, Q5, Q7) and also update the maps 2016.
My problem is I have no VCDS cable or software and I have let a company made MMI changes (also hidden menu availability). But I'm afraid this is wiped by the update!
Can you please let me know.

I think updating can be done by the .pdf file and the downloads (and activation 6.22.4 Vlasoff maps activation) without any problems right?
I have the standard speakerset (so no Bose or bang and olufsen)

So my questions are:
1. NO VCDS cable, after update from P0518 to K0900 still green menu available?
2. If 1. is No only script is needed with sdcard to let green menu appear again?
3. Let a company change severall MMI settings (not with green menu but with VCDS cable) are they still there after the update?
4. If 3. is NO then can I backup my MMI settings and restore them after upgrade of MMI?
5. Just follow the .pdf with activation 6.22.4 Vlasoff this works with my system, after update of MMI?

Thanks a lot.
Successfully updated the system and maps without any problems!

Done:
1. FSC backup
2. Firmware update
3. check changes made in system are still there, YES!
4. Enable Green menu with script
5. Update Maps

Total time 2 a 2,5 hours.

Hi I had also the same problem as you with downloading the files (limitations) and a fix IP address.

After downloading the MEGA files in 4 days (problem with quote limitation).
I extracted the files on a PC with 7zip and had 4 errors on these files:
\pkgdb\XAC\kN161EUx08_0.db
\pkgdb\XAC\XAC.conf
\pkgdb\XAC2\kN161EUx08_1.db
\pkgdb\XAC2\XAC2.conf

So I do not dare to use the extracted files with these errors to install on my audi.

I've shared on my cloud drive a part, can you upload those files?

I Went from 6.24.2 to 6.26.1 on firmware K0900.
Get error 160 on TMC3GP and then error 146 on Mapstyles - ECE
After that all went wrong and no more navigation now.

Now updated to new firmware K0942 and tried again, same error.
Delete nav hdd tried again same problem.

Who can help me?

I think I downloaded 3G High instead of 3G Plus :-( Is that the problem?

Going to try to old nav hope this works!

Only thing is Mega only allow me to download 5GB in 5 hours, have to wait 2 days to have the new 3G plus

Just installed old version back and ran script 6.22.4 Vlasoff maps activation.
Now it is continue saying Initialising Navigation, Please wait... Waited half hour still the same....

Have 3G+ (HDD of 60Gb) or info is saying HN+_EU correct?

I have done all on a Windows PC and SD crd format on FAT32.

did you wipe the nav partition first?

In first instance no.
Later on wiped all.

But I intsalled 3GHigh instead of 3G+.

Now backwarded to old nav 6.24.2, but this is saying Initialising Navigation, Please wait...
Maybe is it because I updated firmware from K0900 to KK0942.

Tommorow I will delete NAV, delete partition and the install 3G+ 6.26.1 and if necessary install activation.

Hope I get my navigation back

Good plan. Wipe partition, and install the latest 3G+.

Prerequisite for 6.26.1 is 942mmi version. You should be able to use older maps with 942 as well - not sure why its not working if you wiped the partition and confirmed it was wiped before installing hte 6.24.2.

It's working again last night wiped NAV and delete HDD partition.
Installed correct 3G+ package.
