Hi all
I have a 64 reg facelift 2.0 tfsi Audi A5 and it has just come out of its 3 year manufacturers warranty on 21.11.17. The car came with adaptive xenons.
However the other day the adaptive light error has come up on the dashboard , and when cornering I notice that it no longer works and also with full beams on the Xenons don’t move right or left as they used to.
It’s typical that this has happened out of warranty ! so I don’t know if I should give it to Audi to see what the fault is and if small pay for it.
But I get the feeling that they will say it will be a new headlamp and that could potentially be very expensive.
I have looked online to renew the Audi warranty and it’s 1100 pounds with the options I need.
So do I test the water and see what the fault is ? Or do I just get the warranty and get it fixed for peace of mind for 12 months also.
I’m not sure if I can hand the car in and if it’s expensive then take out a warranty ? As they may say that due to the fault being pre existing they won’t fix it !
Any advice will be appreciated [emoji53]
