Hey guys,

I'm curious what people are getting for 0-60 mph or 0-100 kph.

Please post your times or videos if you can and tell us:

Stock or modded?
What mods?
MT or AT?
Technique?
Measured in 0-60 mph or 0-100 kph?

Thanks.

P.S. Audi claims 5.3 0-100 kph and 4.9 0-60 mph (for auto)

Yeah, I'm curious to know what others get cause I'm getting some bad times <.<

1 passenger
0-100km in 5.8 seconds (maybe 5.6 FASTEST due to camera error)
Stock
Automatic
Brake torque to 2k rpm in S mode

No vids, sorry.

Where'd you guys get the 4.9/8 seconds 0-60 from? How can a 3.5~ km/h diff (60 miles vs 100km) result in a 0.4/5 second split?

Also, Audi stats MT should be 0-100 in 5.1

Same here, 2010 S5 with Milltek exhaust, auto, brake and 2000rpm, 5.8s 0-100km/h.

2008 S5 i know this really doesnt count...

S5 before MTM supercharger, 0-60 mph in 4.95 seconds

S5 after MTM supercharger, 0-60 mph in 4.125 seconds

Manual

MTM supercharger, AWE exhaust catback downpipes swaybar cold air intake, short shifter that really helps highly recomended.

Horse: 550
Torque: 425

this was all done at avalon motorsports on the dyno for the power.
My times were clocked by the guys at bandamere raceway in morrison colorado

Thats awesome!! i hope one day I can play like you do... thats my goal in 10 years!! looks like you worked hard for your toys and your fully enjoying them which is great to see.

For the response to why the automatics cant get the 0-60 times is probably because of the fact that you cant launch the car at high RPMs, which is what AWD needs or else it doesnt rip off the line like it needs to. With launch control the automatic can launch at 4k rpms which is going to be great, but if you are just holding the brakes and launching at 2k, its not going to be ideal and probably will get you to bog off the line. you guys should look into the launch control thread and see if you can maybe activate it, i think all 2010 models and forward has these secretly hidden in the ECU so might be worth looking into. Good luck guys, cause with launch control the auto shouldnt be much off the stick, if not faster a good portion of the time because you take out driver error from the equation.

the A5's and S4's found it in their ECU so i was jsut assuming the s5 autos would have it buried as well. I just never went out looking for information on it because of the fact that I dont have an auto. might be interesting to research to find out.

IbisS5:

since we have very little real world feedback regarding the MTM SC would you be so kind as to share your impressions of it? good, bad, etc? or have you already done this and i haven't seen?

also: those figures crank HP? do you know the WHP that was measured?
any 1/4 mile times...
i grew up in western Colorado... bandamere brought back some memories.

Just wondering was the Go KArting track there when you lived out here? Anyway i have enjoyed my SC greatly as you know it adds almost 150+ HP. It measured out at 536 BHP but the guy told me i would be runnng at 547-550 which i really didnt understand. Its great though nothing has happened to the car with the extra power (transmission, driveshaft etc.). But i have been thinking about seeing if i can fit all of the RS5 parts to my car to make it look exactly like an RS5 except with a ton more power. Where did you grow up?

Interesting, not wanting to hijack this thread but also keen to see more info on the MTM figures. There is an MTM I've heard about in the UK which is supposed to be putting out a flat 500hp @ crank so interesting to hear how there's a possible 50hp difference.

Re 0-60 / 0-100 times I was doing some launch testing on my racelogic box last night (private road) as I'm revisiting the strip again this weekend. Recorded 0-60 in 4.07secs and 0-100 in 9.67 secs (see attached perfomance graph).

This was done pushing the clutch that little bit harder than I'd previously risked and it's clear there's still plenty more it can take so I'll be pushing harder in the near future.

Wow ibis, look what you started...haha naw jk. You guys have some very impressive figures...maybe once I graduate I'll supercharge my car as well :D
LOL, just so happened I was about to post the info when I came across this thread :D

In the mean time I'm really quite sad my car's best is 5.8 seconds. :music-smiley-019:
Couple of questions, how are you launching?

Is ESP fully switched off?
I asumme in dynamic mode?
Are you holding it on the brake and nailing the power? (I know the auto only allows for 2.5k rpm when doing this but the more rpm the better)
Are you bogging down on launch?

I've been helping someone else via PM who has an auto and suffered in the same way at the strip. in the 14's :( He wasn't however switching ESP off fully or nailing it on the brake then releasing and said that having tried it, it's definately an improvement.

Without the launch control the auto's really do seem to suffer from a standstill. I wonder if any of the tunes on offer remove the 2.5k rpm limiter? This would sort the problem out!

If I was you I'd hold it on the foot brake, nail the throttle then side step the brake. If what I'm led to believe is correct there is no LC on the auto's and the limit at standstill in gear is 2.5k rpm so this is the best you'll get without an ecu tune that removes that limit (if one exists).

As bhk suggests 2k rpm is definately bog down territory, the more RPM the better. Best launches I got on the stock manual was @ 4.5k and side stepping the clutch.

BTW what are you using to time your runs?

Maybe my spacers are slowing me down... Or Audi lied... :p
Cant believe I lost to a slk 350... And he had an extra chick in his car!!
