I was at the bodyshop today looking at it. It's certainly a thing of beauty.

The guys there have done an amazing job, it's still in hundreds of pieces though...... Gulp!

Well no reverse camera for them to worry about and no lights to code may be ready for next weekend

Hopefully next week at the latest should have it back there on with wiring the exhaust valves up dropped it off end off November so will be glad to get it back

Gorgeous, absolutely fantastic and quite breath taking work! I don't know how I managed to miss this thread but it's been the highlight of a drab Monday morning as I count the hours to Friday afternoon. There are some truly immense cars on this forum, and unfortunately due to budgetary restrictions mine is going to be one of the ordinary ones!

Thanks Warren what I thought was going to be a straight forward job has turned in to a nightmare to do I bought all original panels and It turned out inner arches didn't fit they had to make new ones side skirts the fixing clips where miles out so they had to be altered and the list goes on I would not recommend this mod to anyone but saying that several months later we are nearly there

Dare I ask; would it have been cheaper to buy an RS5? (Less 'fun' granted). I'm glad you've done it just so I can perve at the work you've had to do.

#64 ·
It probably would off been cheaper I bought the s5 brand new it's 4 year old this June and it's only done 21,000 miles if the rs5 cab would off been available then I would off bought it. So I decided to create my own it's doing around 500hp now and when Apr release there new supercharger that will be the next mod so yes it will leave a rs5 for dead now never mind when the new blower goes on and yes it's been fun I intend to use it this summer then maybe start again in winter

Thanks cuppa yes I'm itching to get it back now I don't use the car over winter so it was planned to be done when the weather was crap it has took longer than expected but I didn't foresee these problems was told it was just a case off cutting the rear arches off and welding the new ones in place just didn't turn out that way tried to contact Ben for his knowledge but can no longer get hold off him he has not replied to any off my phone calls to his mobile the next dilemma is DavidB8 was paid to code the new facelift lights his email address is no longer in use I think I have found someone else to do them for me time will tell when I call at his garage

Once the car is up and running The company that I bought the exhaust off which is Armytrix they have appointed Shmee150 broadcaster to do a video for YouTube to help promote there exhaust on the S5 they wanted something a little different to show what can be done if you put your mind to it
