Hello! First of all, I apologize for my bad English. I've been trying to update the maps for 10 days, but it doesn't work.
Firmware has been updated to the latest version successfully.
My system is 3GP, so I have several SD cards, I've tried them all, two 32GB and one 64GB.
All are in fat32 format. After many attempts, the system does not see the card "Medium is currently not unavailable"
The system has already read it and I see the version on the monitor, I go through all the steps and start the update, but I immediately get this error “146”, I choose the option to skip and immediately get the error (error 160.
I have downloaded the file from Mega several times, unzipped it with 7zip, I had some confusion with the text files, which one is "3GP" or "3GH" for me, but I think everything is correct now.
Please, if anyone could help me, I would be grateful.
Again, I apologize for my NOT good English!

Hi Angelina. First off your English seems just fine. I was having this same issue and with a billion reformats of my SD card I got it figured out. Mine is all NAR updates so I hope I’m able to help you. Do you mind sending me how the files in the SD card looks maybe I could compare it to mine and it could work
Hello, thanks for the quick response.
Is that how you navigate or do you need more information?

@Angelina some of your files and folders are in the wrong folders! You have all those folders [CTYS3TC - XAC3] in the root folder of the SD and they should be in a root folder named \pkgdb. There should also be a root folder \MMI3GP with a text file in it. If you look at thread #1, my file '3GP_Filelist.txt' shows you the folder structure you need.

So this is what worked for me. Rename the metainfo.txt file on the root to metainfo.orig to make it an orig file. Now copy the contents of the metainfo.orig file to the metainfo.txt file from which ever folder mmi system you have (mmi3G or mmi3GP). I copied mine at the top. Now in that metainfo.txt file change the metafileChecksum=xxxxxx line to
EnableUserDefinedSWDLMode=“true”
skipMetaCRC=“true”
Save the file.
Now I put that meta file on the root so if you look at the picture you will I have both the metainfo.orig file and the metainfo.txt file from the mmi3G version I have which is the 3GP
I also copied the PKG file and SIG file from the pkgs folder to the root. (Not sure if I had to do that but it worked for me.
So first picture is the root folder of the as card second picture is the pkgdb folder from the root folder
Now on the your mmi system go to the green menu and turn userdefinedmode on in the swdl option then go to red engineering mode put in your as card second picture and choose update
Choose user defined mode then scroll down to AIDI_MMI3G_whatever your version is mine said NAR click on that and check all the applications don’t do anything with bootloader
Do same for NaviPersistance and MapStyles
Then start update.
That’s what worked for mine. I hope it helps you out. If it doesn’t I apologize. Also hope this was easy to follow

Thank you very much, it worked the first time! I had two errors in PSD twice at about 95/6/7%, I let it repeat twice and then went directly to PSD2.

But the text file for the instructions is not displayed very correctly, but thanks again

Hello, I have a big request. I have an Audi A6 c7 2011 , I downloaded the map and everything installed, but the navigation map does not start, it says please wait. I don't know what to do. In the navigation menu, I see the old map from 2015 and this new one, but for this one, I see something different, it's not labeled HM+ ... map, but I don't know if I used the wrong activator?

Audi A5 2014, MMI 3GP + B&O. Downloaded and applied from P0485 the last firmware, last maps, Dr. Ger's unlocker. I have silently read this forum and followed the instructions. Used a Mac and a Chinese MicroSD in another Chinese SD adapter. Everything worked flawless, no errors, no bricking, no need to complain or ask for help. Thanks for all the work here.

Thank you for your willingness, the navigation map just doesn't start for me, I must be making a mistake somewhere in some procedure.

The map installed shows me no error. I use the unlocker and it only loads 50 and then it says please wait. I restarted the entire MMI and it's the same, I had the map from 2015 and now in 2023 I installed the MMI update, downloaded the map, installed it through the green and red menu, and ran the unlocker, nothing else.

@pppcz I thought @DrGER might have responded by now, but I think your next step is to run the DRGer MMI info script that is described in post #1 and post your results. It's difficult to help at the moment as you haven't precisely explained what you did.

There are several 'activators or unblockers; the only one to use is the DRGer one, which you only run once the maps are updated, and you've reboooted the MMI and waited for the Navigation error message.
