the most important thing on the new climate control are the "separated" switches for seat heating. The air con doesn't come on every time you put your seat heating on..

I don't quite understand this comment, but I have a 2010 A5 with dual front and 3rd rear climate control, and my front control panel looks almost identical to that except screen is red, not black and white and possibly a botton to the right of the drivers nob.

so probably not useful in using this as a comparison to FL and Pre-FL.

Hi I have the fl unit but a pre fl car, I've had a quote to remove the CP will it 100% work once this is removed? Because I've been told I'd also have to fiddle with the central control module??

How did you get the menu for the climate control to show on your mmi ?

Mine stopped working after I installed the face-lift climate control

Hello, u must make a coding to the new climate to work with the old MMI, to me was very easy because both are from Facelift Radio Symphony and climate .

The coding for show the climate on MMi is

08-Auto HVAC - Coding 07 - Long Coding Helper - Byte 1 -Bit 4 - Set to 1.

Hello, sorry to bring up an old thread. I picked up a fl climate unit for cheap of fleabay and swapped it over. Went to the stealer's to get CP removed and all seems to work fine, I cant however control the fan. I understand coding is required to rectify this...I have vagcom - Could anyone anyone tell me what I need to change please?
