hey guys,

just completed the mod on my a5, only issue is that it does’t go 100% down, flushed with the trunk...

PFA :

any idea if i did something wrong when dismantling it for painting, or how can i corect this? it stays like 1cm up... if i manually push it it goes down the cm no resistance. if it’s up i can’t move it at all by hand ...

My admittedly wild speculation: It looks like the spoiler 'bounced' when going down - like it was headed down, hit some sort of limit, then moved back up a small amount. So possibly it was reassembled 'out of alignment'? I have no clue what the 'proper' procedure would be, but if I had to take a stab at it, possibly loosen the spoiler blade enough that the mechanism can operate freely. Cycle a few times to let it go to the natural 'down' position, then tighten/adjust the spoiler blade to be fully down at that point.

No , I had everything for the retrofit including the wiring .

What are you missing?
I'm in the prepping phase, I have all my s5 components to swap over. I bought a new decklid bare. I have the spoiler complete with motor and mount assembled. I still need to get the bcm2 and console switch. So my questions lie around the correct bcm2, the plug for the switch and the wiring from the trunk.

Yeah , I hear you, but at least you got some main components, you can always install and later wire it up as you get the rest of parts .
I've reached out to wolf auto parts for the wiring of the trunk and a pigtail for the switch
Yeah wolf is a good source, you might also consider( german_parts ) on Ebay, they too have many rs5 parts , I recently bought the rs5 cluster from them , so try them out too .

I will do that. Thank you. I'll come back and update later on.
