Toying with the idea of getting this setup as I like the idea of having the Comfort, Normal and Sport mode.

But I really would like to know just how "Comfo" the comfort is lol.

Anyone running these or any idea?

Think the Revo guys are running those on their S5 development car buddy...

I was speaking to them about it on Saturday!

Yeah I'm sure you can mate.

I spoke face to face, so you may just need to do a little bit of hunting for someone who knows the car at head office or something?

Awesome!!!

Spoke to Steve at H/O who has done a LOT of miles on them in an S5.

Awesome company it seems Revo. Ordered them based on that call so thank you very much dje123 :)

Your in South East Kent, I work in Sittingbourne :)

Just going through this suspension and OMG it is amazing with this new IRC control app.

3 modes, Comfort+ - Auto - Sport+

Pretty self explanatory except the Auto. In Auto mode you can set how it behaves via the app.

Check this out!

The BILSTEIN iRC system allows your suspension to adapt to any type of driving situation automatically. When set to Auto Mode, the three-axis acceleration sensor reads vehicle speed and adjusts suspension damping in real time. From bumpy uneven roads to smooth high speed cornering, the Bilstein iRC system will deliver the best in comfort and performance.

In addition to two fixed modes from BILSTEIN (Comfort+ and Sport+), this new system allows users to create, save and share their own custom damping settings via a smartphone. In Auto mode, three adjustable settings become available (Comfort, Normal and Sport). Each one can be custom tuned to the users individual demands.

Product Benefits:
Preset auto damping modes (Comfort, Normal and Sport) detect acceleration thresholds, cornering forces and vibrations to give the driver the highest level of suspension performance. Each auto damping mode can be customized beyond preset settings.
Custom suspension settings can be saved and quickly activated as needed
Custom suspension settings can be shared with friends
Graphic output of the longitudinal and lateral acceleration on the smart phone
Real-time adjustment while driving is possible
Select the illumination color of the RC button
User-friendly design and functionality

Nice mate! Very jealous!

How much are they coming out at roughly if you don't mind me asking.

Small word... It was Steve I was speaking to on Saturday about the S5. 100% looking at going for one of those next!

Oh really... I'm down near Margate but work in Faversham!

Im a little lucky here as I work in the motorsport trade, albeit for motorbikes but still so I got it from Germany through our distributor there at an outstanding price.

Here they are about ÂŁ2k depending on where you go and though contacts in the UK I could have got it for ÂŁ1600 but direct I got it for ÂŁ1300 delivered which was an unexpected bonus.

Not a million miles away then, may pass each other one day?

#9 ·
Oh nice! Yeah that's a great price for those!

Yeah definitely mate, we'll have to sort out a South east social at some point!

Theres a company local in Grays, Revo Essex that are holding an open day Steve was saying on the 16th. I might pop in if I get time.

Just a FYI for anyone considering this also. The IRC module is an optional extra which I found out last night so I just had to order this too this morning.

All though its not an absolute must everyone has said it makes a profound difference.

#12 ·
Its shipped today so will be here next week. Booked in for next Friday to have it all fitted and installed :)

#13 ·
got to let us know how it goes mate, kinda very interested in this now I've been looking round the web!

#16 ·
Lol yep. Was originally booked in for tomorrow but I cancelled it as they said it might not be here today so rather than waste the mechanics day I changed it with him for Friday.

D'oh lol but couldn't take the chance :)

#18 ·
looks decent mate! can't wait to see it on the car :) how low are you planning on going?

#19 ·
Going to play with it when on the car. I may even change my wheels to 19's if need be? Not sure yet??

I defo won't be going over the wheels. To the wheels is perfect, I like the look of this car. This is on B16's and I think that look is perfect!

yeah I think if you lower it so the arch is in line with the top of the tyre it will look very good :) you'll have to take a few pics of it at different heights when you're playing lol when my last car had coilovers, for a laugh I lowered it as low as it would go and I could physically drive it for a couple of days :D was a bit of fun but kept catching things so raised it up :)

#21 ·
Will do.

Going to rip the centre console out tomorrow afternoon and di the install of the button and the wiring inside the car as apparently this takes as long to do as fitting it?

Then come friday we got more time to play with different heights and then get it all calibrated without having to rush about.

The wiring will be a doodle from the suspension as it will be up on a ramp so me and the mechanic will be doing that bit together and with the car above us Im hoping it will save loads of time. Only thing got to decide on is where to instal the IRC module.

#22 ·
yeah its just making sure its all nice and tidy that would be the harder bit. I've looked into this and some people have fitted the switch inside the ashtray? not sure how it works properly but worst case im sure you can fit it inside the arm rest, maybe tucked up on the higher bit right at the back if that makes sense?

#23 ·
Yea I'm putting the button inside the ashtray too where the cig lighter is as I don't use it and from what I see it looks like a perfect fit.

Plus then I can hide it and reveal it in a moment of James Bond madness lol. TBH, I'll prob rarely use it as I have the IRC module but it is handy for when the phone is not on that app I guess or its not in auto mode which from what Im seeing it will be most of the time.

#24 ·
well lets hope its a direct fit! if you need to use a 12v socket there's always the one under the arm rest :) look forward to seeing how it goes! I've had to stop on doing any bits on my car :( service revealed me needing 3 tyres, new front brake pads, wipers, wheel alignment haha all booked in for Saturday though so that'll be sorted :)

Quattro Ry

Mate this is slightly off piste and apologies for cynically hijacking thread - Quattro Ry, make sure that you actually need new tyres etc. My stealer suggested I needed three new ones because down to canvas, illegal almost, etc. I declined, went to my indy tyre guy who had a look and said 'stealer talking rubbish to get you to buy the Pirellis stealer had on offer"!!! Warning - beware dealer advice not in writing.

Yes, didn't think of that. Will use the pos and neg of the cig lighter for the wiring. Then just need to find another pos.

It says batt neg, batt pos and ign. It that simply, earth, perm live and switched live in that order?

#26 ·
yeah I believe that is right buddy, check the manual though that come with the coilovers though just to make sure
