He is still active, but he has a lot of people who he helps with the upgrade i can imagine. No wonder he does not have a lot of time on his hands.

mj131 is really hands on with the upgrade and will spend whatever time to walk you through it in real time. As he is in Europe & he may be helping someone on the other side of the world with a 15hr time difference, you can imagine that screws up sleep/wake patterns & the need to recover.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Any chance you could pm me (new user so it won't let me send you a message) and hook a guy up with the NAR 3g plus NAV files to do this.

You should simply install the maps using a standard update and that is it - no other steps, activators, etc should be needed.
The process is same for EU/NAR/ROW maps - the only difference is the maps package itself.

The parking module related issues for older cars have been resolved and now the firmware supports various old (and buggy) protocols from these.



p.s. It has come under my attention that some of you have shared the individual files built for your car with others - please do not do that.
Not only does it disrespect my hard work on this, but also, the update will properly work only for the individual car it was configured for.

The "file"(firmware & software) is custom made & locked to your VIN. You need to contact mj131 directly to see if they are still providing it. It is not something you can d/l from any random place ...

@TJ001 -- This involves provisioning Internet data through a USB ethernet adapter connected to either a mobile LTE router or wireless router that connects to a smartphone WiFi hotspot. You need to message Congo for the Google Earth activation and supply him with some info from your MMI system, see this thread: Google Earth for 3G+

If your unit is a non-sim and you have the Audi Music Interface (AMI) option you can supply the MMI with internet access via your mobile phone using a TP Link MR3020 router, a USB Ethernet adapter (UGreen adapter from amazon), a male to twin female USB Y lead and an AMI to female USB cable. I needed help from MJ setting up the router to talk to the MMI but the info of how to set up it all up is available on forums. There are a few tweeks required in Green Menu but if your software is from MJ probably best to ask him for help once you’ve got all the hardware together.
