Thinking about the B9...

Oh dear. Whilst I again looked back at my S5 after parking it yesterday and thought "what a beautiful car", I did also think that maybe it would look even better with slightly sharper lines???

Strange because I have seen a few B9 A4s now and they don't look particularly better than the last one to me.

I am going to have to test drive a B9 S4 when one is available at my local dealer this year. If, as I suspect, there is still noticeable lag from that turbo and maybe also from that tiptronic box then it will cure me of any new model envy and I can remain satisfied in my purchase of my S5.

I have the same concerns.
Also, although I've not driven any of the newer models, i was in the showroom on Tuesday when my car was in for a service and new tyres and whether it be the A4, TT or Q7 I looked at whilst waiting my opinion Was the same........... decent interior, dull exterior styling.
The only models I liked were an A5 coupe BE+ and an A5 cab :serious:

I struggled with the same thing. I decided to sell my 2011 S5 cabrio for a 2013 RS5. This was enough of a change to keep me interested for a while. The lines of the 5 are some of the best on the road. The new styling for both Audi and BMW have gotten dull. The RS has brought the smile back that I was beginning to lose with the S5. [emoji41]

Mmmmmmm.

Audi claim too much torque for the dual clutch gearbox yet have managed to make and fit one to the R8 plus with 560nm of torque..
Thats 60 more than the b9s4.

More to the point at 500nm the b9s4 is some 80 nm less torque than the existing 3.0 diesel s-tronic.

So I suspect the freewheel function is the real reason behind the tiptronic. More bullshit economy and emissions figures........
