Hi,

I need some advice on pinpointing the source of an issue, its a 3.0 TDI Quattro, occasionally after few weeks the glow plug light start flashing and the car goes into limp mode while driving. Then if I stop the engine and re-start after few seconds the issue goes away for few weeks. Every time this happens VCDS scan shows following error

5585 - Diesel Particulate Filter (Bank1)
P242F 00 [039] -- Restricted/Clogged

I have measured various adv measuring values related to DFP and I don't see any issues with DPF clogging, can anyone please check attached photos and suggest?

Decided to get the DPF gutted and ECU remapped to disable DPF and EGR for error 5585 - Diesel Particulate Filter (Bank1)
P242F 00 [039] -- Restricted/Clogged. However when DPF was removed it wasn't clogged rather it was looking ok. Just a bit of ash deposit which can be cleaned ... anyway, I think EGR is clogged as the flashing coil / limp mode only happens at slow stop and go traffic ... I'm a bit surprised that the error code refers to the DPF filter ... planning to clean the EGR and see if the problem still occurs ...

Very surprised that DPF filter condition is not bad providing that the car had done 192,000 miles .... I think this is mainly because 95% of this is motorway miles .... good for DPF, but doesn't help EGR much as carbon deposit in EGR doesn't burn out like DPF ... you only clog up DPF if you do a lot of city drive ...
