Hello, Sorry for my english, I'm french . My car is a A4 Avant 2.0 TDI 2011 and when I have buy it, there haven't the support for GPS.
So a big thanks to @congo for this perfect tuto with files 👍.
I haved MMI3G P_0054 and I have put directly K_0260 without troubles and the map 2022/2023.

Hello, I'm a new Audi owner and this is my first VAG group car. I want to update the system and load the maps. Am I right in thinking that it's enough to download the latest system and upload it using an SD card?

all the instrucitions are in the 1st post of this topic.

If your firmware version is bellow K0257 then do K0257 followed by K0260. If you are at K0257 do only K0260.

after that you will have to download the navigation maps on a SD card and activate them.

I had doubts here because my version is P0054, so I understand that it is lower and I need to perform K0257 and then K0260? And where can I find K0257 because in the links there is only the latest version?

Hi nothing for my Audi a3 8v mstd software? I read many many threads but find nothing working for me. I download the new maps seems correct for my software but not recognized by the car on a SD. I need an activator? Where I can find? Thanks to anyone

Have you found a fix I’m trying to update my whole software and it’s saying the same thing, that it can’t be found and then I tried again and it says out of date or incompatibility issue

Who told you that P0054 is below K0257?
From P0054 you can directly go to K0260.

Hello @congo,
First thing first, thank you for the versions and the answers.

Could you please help me with my doubts:
- On my car (Audi A5 2.0TDi S-line) it shows the information on the photo, the version you posted is newer right? Also can I make the update directly to the BNav_EU_K0260_1_D1?

- I search for a while and some say its not the most common for a S-line have a basic MMI, also I read online that the software versions Pxxxx are the factory ones so it should be right, but is there someway else to check if I have the supposed equipment physically installed?

- The most annoying thing is that I don't get the music from my phone via Bluetooth to the radio, is there any solution known?

Here are some of the questions raised by the forum members about the update process that I might failed to explain in the manual.

Q. Do i need VCDS to do the update?
A. No, you need VCDS only to clear some errors after the update but the MMI will function correctly even if you don’t clear them out.

Q. I have a Bang & Olufsen sound system not a Bose. Does this also mean that i need to exclude it?
A. Yes, better not to update the DSP system.

Q. Currently no updates for North America?
A. Not for now.

Q. I have mmi 3g , version p0XXX can i go straight to k0260?
A. Yes.

Q. 01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version - How can i solve this ?
A. Restart the MMI and remove the key from ignition then put it back in. The error should change from 01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version to 03276 - Please Check Software Version

there are many posts about this.
you should use a good quality full-size SD-card.

I done that, now it shows me an error: variant conflict occured. Main unit variant 9302, release info variant 9303/ 9304. What can i do?

@Ratzoi -- The Harman-Becker MMI3G BNav main units are hardware variants 9303 & 9404, mostly. This was produced by my MMI3G Info reporting tool:
