I've got a 2009 S5 coming in, black exterior with the magma red interior. Since I haven't seen it first-hand, if anyone has it tell me how hot it is! Or, has anyone regretted it? My turbo A6 I'm trading in was black on black so I wanted to mix it up... plus I love red!

I get compliments all the time. This is my favorite color combo, with Meteor Gray and Tuscan Brown as a distant second.

Only issue, as told by my Audi dealer, is that when ordering a custom colored interior, other than black and tan, it can hurt the resale value because customers may not like the color.

Would have loved to have got the magma interior but black was my only option with S-line!

Anybody know of anyone who has taken their interior to a specialist to be 're-coloured'? Would be interesting to find out.....

Soc:thumbsup:

Love mine. Not full seats but inserts on my car and in the door panels. red stitching in the black. Everybody that has seen my car loves it, compliments daily. Zero effect on my resale or the sale to me in the first place, it just looks right on my car with the red top.

Thanks!! I couldn't resists the car when i saw it...was after a coupe till i saw this car. My sales guy did the exact right thing and told me he had a great car coming in so wait to see it and he was right. The reason I go to him and the particular dealer.

Wow. That really is something else......not for me though.

If your asking if that would effect future resale, I would probably be put off buying the car by the garish (SORRY) interior.

Ehhh that's why the world goes around as everyone does have different taste...i can't stand just straight black or gray or just one color, I like contrast somewhere. You would REALLY hate my now super rare TT then...color is closer in first picture of the seat but otherwise off with crappy exposure and photo skills but its a burnt orange "moccasin red" : )

I have the magma red, and love it. As far as being off putting to a future buyer--I was a future buyer who ordered the car this way. There are plenty of people who covet this color. I would never buy a tan interior; we all have preferences.

Yup. Going to order my future RS5 (whenever the f ing heck i actually can...) as well with the Magma like mine. just have not decided on the exterior color of phantom black or the opposite of white.

I thought there was something wrong with your camera.

I'm just kidding, but really, it is 70's porn bad.

Camera indeed broke. My wife just said you guys sound like 'mean girls'. It was good enough for Neiman Marcus and I like it...:hissyfit:

I think he meant that the picture quality wasn't that great.

I remember sitting in one of the NM TTs back in 2000 at the dealer. I had placed my deposit on a 225hp TT in 1999, and the NM TT was the first one I could find to sit in. Loved the interior.

oh i know...the guy above hating my steering wheel though not so much. But i am kidding...no offense here. This is actually my second one. I bought originally number 25/100 but wrecked it 7 years ago then bought my current number 47 little over a year ago in perfect condition, 50K on it for $8K from the original SoCal owner and keeping it for good. As there is probably very few left (I know personally of 9 dead ones following the forums over the years). I'm an architect and i just love the design inside and out.

I have the magma red interior and I absolutely love it. Only downside is that it's very sensitive and it gets scratched easily.. Other than that, LoVE it!

When I was looking last year I desperately wanted the red interior, and (male) friends of mine all encouraged me to get it. However, my girlfriend and some other girls said they didn't like the red. I said "why not, it looks pimp" and they said "that's exactly why we don't like it". I ended up getting the black interior.

Moral of my story is, it's clearly the colour with the highest "wow" factor, but not everyone likes the "wow".
