I must mention again that the website doesn't tell you much. One time I ordered something from DP-DHL and the item got to my door and the tracking info was still sitting at 20%. It's very inaccurate.
Yeah I've had the same experience which is why I'm not worried. Whenever it comes, it comes. I've waited this long, what's a little longer? Haha
 
I contacted BKS and they sent me an updated international tracking number that I was able to track through the site, might want to give them an email.

Yeah mine's coming to the office as well so I'm not sure if it's arrived yet since I'm off today. If you decide to stick around work, let me know if yours comes in so I can make the trek to the office to see if it's there. If it's doesn't come in today, it looks like I won't get it until Monday since the office will be closed during the holidays. Luckily Gran Turismo 5 is out so I'm keeping myself busy. Haha.

I know I speak for everyone when I say that you help is very much appreciated. If we can't figure this out, and you are still willing to help, I can swing by with what I've received from BKS and Kufatec. Let me know if that is a feasible option and like 1SickS5 offered, I'd be willing to compensate you for your time as well. Thanks
 
Thanks Alex! Oakland actually works out a lot better then your previous office that I've been to in the past. Also a weekend is better for me as well so it looks like this is definitely an option we can follow through with if needed. Let's see where this leads to and we can set up a time to do meet up. Again, thanks for all the help Alex.

Not to sound skeptical, but did you wait at least 20-30 min for all sytems to discharge, and clear all TDSs too. Just another hopeful :) thought ...

Even if nothing fixes the BCM2, I feel we should be able to both manually clear the bulb-out faults with the resistor trick (Heral confirmed) AND make the eCode amber signals work fine for us. We'll STILL have a reverse light issue, but I can live with that for some time BUT still wonder what BKS/Kufatec intend to do for us?

I'm still a bit bewildered that his car though with all harnesses wired the way ours are, has different behavior, especially since he DIDN'T use the dongle at all??
I'll install mine tonight without the dongle or resistors to see what I get. If I get the same as Herel, maybe we should compare the BCM2 model numbers. Reading through some of the older posts in regards to the EU dongle, it seems as though some people's worked while others didn't...it appeared as though there was a BCM2 model number difference between the working/not working.

Sorry guys, I've decided to just return these instead.
 
What's your plan now?
If you find a working solutions for the US spec ones, I'm going to purchase my set through Europrice. Alex has always had the best customer service and has helped extensively with many past purchases I have made through him. (80% of the mods on my S5 come from Europrice) His willingness to jump in and help us during this process has further committed me to make the majority of my future purchases through Europrice. Even though I live in CA and have to pay tax when buying from him, I think it's worth it.
 
I would have to say I could agree 100%. But for the moment, I am hopeful to make the eCodes work for me. I am STILL waiting for Robert to make me/us an offer of a fix - but I wonder now if he just thinks we're all going to simply return them. Since a few of us have some damages (potentially unusable BCM2s) I don't want him thinking that just because a few return them that he OR Kufatec are simply off the hook to those of us more damaged now.

He has NOT returned emails or calls in English or German to me, so I hope he has NOT gone dark, thinking that Heral's last "return including shipping" is the end.

Meanwhile, tomorrow I'll jump into scanning with VCDS and checking the resistor trick and LED 921s to my amber eCode signals ...
After I posted that I was going to return them, I contacted BKS through email and Robert replied within an hour. Seems sketchy that he isn't returning contact with you...

edit: I just double checked the response time. I sent him an email at 1:46pm and received a response at 2:18pm.
 
Interesting....my box is packed up and I was just about to send it back. Should I wait to see what the deal is with these new dongles? Do you know if the amber is supposed to function properly as turn signals and not reverse lights? I would really prefer that they don't come on in reverse....hmmm...what to do...what to do...
 
If I knew for certain that the new dongles would fix the problems you guys are having, then I would attempt to install these tonight and make sure I am careful with the current dongle. So according to them, mine "should" work as long as I leave the dongle in until the light turns off? Hmmm....I don't think I'm brave enough to try this just yet
 
Well, WOW ! at least I got amber signal lights now with the new dongle!! Brakes and tails still work correctly too, but alas, i still have bulb-out faults and NO reverse lights.
ALL coding was done exactly as directed by Kufatec and the dongle LED did go out after about 30 sec. I will report to Kufatec and see what their next move is ...
