As title.
On Friday got a pair of Milltek downpipes installed on my V8 S5.
Fitted by Shark Performance in Mansfield Notts. They were doing my major service so got them to do this little mod at the same time.
I'm still using the OEM exhaust as it was before, only thing changed is the downpipes. Got no intention of changing the oem exhaust simply due to cost of other exhausts & drone issues of the Milltek options (bar the valved unit which is big bucks)
REALLY happy with the result for a 'cheapish' mod (about £270 fitted). The engine note now certainly has a more 'fiery' growl to it when gunning it. To be honest wasn't sure what to expect and by no means wont be as much of a change compared to adding a full after market cat-back, but quite surprised at the nice new growl from just the downpipes.
So from outside the car a nice new and improved growl. From inside a tad more exhaust noise which I like and not a hint of drone.
You guys with the full aftermarket cat backs must have a really BIG difference to stock compared to the change I've noticed by just doing the downpipes. I envy you....
Know one of the other members on here did this downpipe only change also some time ago.
