Might be the fabled water pump failure (given the water leak) Ive never suffered it so im not sure what the affects are.

 

It just seems a bit strange since I have a leak and now the engine light comes on. I cant see why the engine light would be ok for a water pump leak, can anyone confirm this happens?

How much is a water pump plus labour roughly?

I seen those 2 posts, hopefully the engine light will be to do with the engine losing water pressure?

If it were anything else like a DPF would this not also have a seperate light on the dash?

is that to do with the throttle intake motor? might be worth googling that number and see where the trail leads u?

 

I had a similar EML on for that and some where in the mix a mass air sensor fault,,,,,
Spent loads on new sensors etc and looked like I might have had to buy a new turbo.!!!!! I then took it to a place that knew better (was working away from home) when I got home and low and behold it was a split air intake hose....

The EML can not detect a cheap fault............:wall:

 

I did google the error code, couldnt find much information but it looks like a new throttle body maybe needed, which side is bank 1? My local garage wasnt too sure. Throttle body is only £48 and cant be hard to fit surely?

The water leak is from my radiator, £200 from euro parts, does anyone know where I can get once cheaper? Garage said i should first try some leak sealer, is this viable?

 

UPDATE

Ok, today I was driving home from work and the DPF light has come on. I tried driving 20 minutes in high revs and it didnt budge the light.

I was wondering if this could be link the the throttle body error code I pulled from the ECU? If the throttle body isnt working properly, could the car be running rich causing the DPF to clog up and not be clearing the soot properly?

Glow plug failure dumping unburnt fuel into exhaust?

 

Would like to think so, cheap fix. Although the throttle body error code is worrying.

The car does have a misfire from what I can tell.

I also managed to pull off some further info on the DPF.
