Engine cover

Hi there

I want to ask with engine cover is needed for the 2007 a5 3.0 tdi v6?
I can find 2 sorts the silver one and a black one. The black one is 059103925BE and the silver one is 059103925AQ.
Is both for a5 3.0 tsi as i can read.hope slmebody knows.

I have seen silver ones in A5 3.0 TDI and A5 2.7 TDI V6 engines, never saw the black ones.

Yes me too. But i can't compare because where i bougt the car there was no engine cover on the engine.

I don't think the engine cover is REQUIRED on a single car that uses one, more of a vanity thing. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

It is the silver one you need. In diesel car this cover suppresses the engine noise a bit.

I have silver and black on on my 3.0tdi 240bhp but my neighbour has a solid black one on his a7 3.0tdi 201bhp...
