Hello,
I’m reading up about the ECU/TCU upgrades. I live in CA so wondering how to swap back for smog check?

Is this a reflash back and forth anytime we need to smog? Do any kits offer something quicker than a reflash such as a switch?

Looking at the APR ECU upgrade, for Stage 1 only, they appear to allow switching back programs which appears to indicate one could switch back to stock easily via their phone app. Obviously the jury's out if that still raises flags since technically the ECU is modified.
