hi , I read on here somewhere that a dipstick is available for the 2.0l tfsi ,and it retails for the region of £8 ??? .(I have had a search and ). I phoned Carlisle audi this morning to be told there isn't a dipstick for this model ?? I then gave them the part no. (06j115611e) and lo and behold there is one after all .BUT !! its £13.45:yikes:. I know its not a lot of money for peace of mind , but its the principle . so can anyone tell me where they are available for the lower price ?? thanks

" its not a lot of money for peice of mind." You said it yourself :)

You could try TPS (trade parts specialist) if really want to save a few quid lol

Alternative is biting the bullet and going for it! :music-smiley-019:

its not so much the cost (probably pay similar for a ford or similar ) its just that I object to paying more for something that comes in a packet with a "label". as my other/better half says , I can go for a quiet pint  and spend a fair bit more than that....... but your right I can be a tight git :).

I wouldn't like to go for a pint with you probably one off them. That always seems to go to the loo when it's your round

:laughinatabove: hahaha

Believe it or not, the one the technicians use (think its for use on all the cars) costs...£85! Yes £85 for a piece of metal I use to cut out back in my design and technology days at school!
