I've been adding mods today and realised that we have no comprehensive list of codes on this forum.

So here is the full list (as of right now), they have been checked however I hold no responsibility if you mess up!

I'll keep adding them as new ones are found

Please post any others I've missed or any mistakes and I'll add them to the list.

These have been tested completely on pre-facelift. Most should work on a facelift car however there are a couple that won't or need to be completed a different way.

The only mods that work on the Chorus, Concert or Symphony stereo are the ones that don't use hidden menu options. The hidden menu is not accessible from chorus or symphony stereos.

When I say semi dynamic I mean....2 way flash, so light on tailgate then the fixed light part...I'm aware there where modules that did this but that was same thing, or maybe a bit better effect .

In searching for it a few people have mentioned it too but cant see codes.

I'm going back 4 years ago..and I 100% did not by the adapters

#692 ·
Never have I heard of any coding that does that and that's coming from people that mod this platform to death. However, since you claimed to have had it I won't doubt what you said but when you do find it I'm sure other people would like to know because for the many years that I've been a part of the Audi Community you're the first one to have said coding alone works.

Is there a way with VCDS to alter the one touch three blinks on the indicators to five blinks. This can be done on VW,s and it can also be added to the MDI so you can revert back if you want to. I find this most useful on motorway lane changes as it saves me from holding down the indicator switch. Also is there away to add footwell light percentage to the MDI so that I can get the right ambience to suit.

not on a B8.
on a B9 this would be:
  1. Select ecu 46 (Central conv)
  2. Select Adaption - 10
  3. Select turn signal cycles
  4. Set the value accordingly
Value range: 1-5

Hoping that this thread is still be 'monitored' as I am looking for some help for my '18 S5 SB and making some changes. I have been able to do the following:

Enable Automatic Gear selection shown in DIS
Disable soundaktuator (speaker on face lifts)
Enable Adaptive brake lights
Enable Sport Display in HUD
Parking Assist Speed Threshold
Changing Comfort Turn Signal Count

But haven't been able to do enable the Green/Hidden MMI, Dim LED 'wink' on turn signal and a few others. Hope someone can help as I've used this guide as well as the guide on Audizine.

Most probably a newbie question but I’ve been on this a few hours and can’t seem to get a definitive answer from Google.

I have an Audi A4 B9 MY2017 which I recently got.

A few years back I bought a Ross Tech HEX-V2, never used it and recently tried using it with VCDS for the first time on my A4. Did some Adaptations, everything went fine and worked as documented on this forum and other sources.

However, I am unable to use VCDS to update “Developer Mode” (Green Engineering menu) in module 5F using adaptations. I keep getting “Request out of range”. I have tried:

  1. Issuing Security Code 20103 (code was accepted) prior to changing the value. Didn’t work.
  2. Tried typing “S12345” as a security code prior to changing value and got “invalid security key”.

Regarding no. 2, I was using VCDS 20.9 and noticed it looked a bit different from YouTube videos using older versions and successfully using the S12345 method. Found a video online using VCDS 20.4.1 successfully, located that version online, installed it and still get the same result as detailed in no. 2 above.

What am I missing/doing wrong?

Is this no longer possible using VCDS? Did Audi / Ross Tech block it somehow?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I have had a request by a customer to carry out a couple of things on their car. Firstly, "pace lights", as in the rear indicators flashing each side of the two part led module. similar to this video. They currently have proper dynamic indicators, but want it just as the block type middle module on then outer module on.

I know there seems to be different ways of carrying this out with delays etc maybe first light comes on and then off as second comes on like the video or first on then second on then both off.

Also they would like the DRLs to flash with the indicator. So kind of similar to DRL wink, but instead of dimming down they want it to flash alternative to the indicator, so drl on indicator off, drl off indicator on, flashing.

I have seen some tutorials on carrying both of these out with other cars but not with the A5. Can anyone help with the coding for this or any information what is required for it to be possible, eg spec or configurations? I have a VCDS autoscan if required. Thanks all

A5 2009 Audi Concert no NAV
Hello, please help me. I added Enable Battery meter with VCDS, but all the car settings were deleted... how can I bring back the rest and add this one so it doesn't overwrite it?

How can I add the old settings without overwriting the new ones?

Select channel 39

Add 16 to the present value

I noticed that sometimes when accelerating out of a corner or when pulling to the opposite lane and accelerating hard to overtake, the steering wheel would pull to one side and I kind of had to fight it.
Does that sound like the issue you had?
It only happened a few times and at the time I thought its torque steer, but it never happened to me on other cars, so i dont have a comparison

One coding that I didn't come across on this list is the "Dynaudio Profile" coding in Radio (56)
Set bit 0 in byte 4 to 0 to turn Dynaudio Profile on, or set it to 1 to turn it back off.

I am not sure what exactly this does, but the amount of bass played from the speakers increases dramatically.

I read somewhere that it adjust the radio to behave like it has an B&O amp installed, but again not sure about that.

Some people say that it needed some time to come into affect, others say a MMI reboot got it to work right away.
For some people the adjustability of the factory sub stopped working after this change.
Also the volume increases a lot more per each step of the adjustment knob after this mod.

Its worth a try and its all reversable if you don't like it so its safe. personally i like it and kept it this way.

I'm pretty new to using VCDS but this thread has been absolutely amazing. Almost everything I have tried has worked perfectly without issue. However, I do have 2 problems I could use some input on.
I wanted to "enable interior lighting option for pre-facelift". My car has the MMI High (2G). I followed the VCDS instructions, but when I look on my MMI display the lighting option is shown in grey (so I cannot access it to adjust anything).
This brings me to my second issue. I used VCDS to turn on the MMI Hidden Menu and accessed it for the first time. I wanted to see if I could enable that interior lighting option through the hidden menu. The option was already "checked". So I left everything alone and just backed out of the hidden menu.

Now when I try to go back in to access the hidden menu, I cannot. Holding the Car/Setup buttons for 5 seconds does nothing. It worked fine on the first try. I've restarted the MMI, I've rebooted the MMI, but I am still unable to turn on the hidden menu

Any ideas? Thanks!

Is there any type of mod through VCDS/ Vagcom that turns off the suspension dampener checks on electronic dampeners?

I have KW Dampener Cancellers, but I'm getting a fault on the 'Rear Right' after a particularly cold (for the UK) winter. I replaced the module with another one of KW Dampener Cancellers, but the fault is still there. I don't want to have to buy another of the modules at £100+ a piece so a software fix would be much, much easier!

Thanks all

Hello guys, I have an A5 2014 Sportback and changed my main front light bulb to LED white, so it looks better. But my parking lights which are still yellow are always on with every setting. I tried to turn off DRL in the menu but that did not help. I guess I will need to disable them manually via any code? I have an ODBeleven diagnostic at home and I tried to play with these...

Enable DRL

[09 – Cent. Elect.] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 2
Bit 1 = DRL via Front Side markers
Bit 2 = DRL via High Beams
Bit 3 = DRL via Fogs
Bit 4 = DRL via LEDs
Bit 5 = DRL via Parking Lights
Bit 6 = DRL via Side markers
Bit 7 = DRL via Tail lights

But it did not work for my problem. Is possible that my car cannot do it or there should be a way to do everything? Does anyone know how to disable them or turn them low at least?
