Decided to share the electric wiring diagram and full retrofit instructions for this modification.

The guide mentions that the spoiler ECU needs to come from an RS5 (not A7). I've used two replacement ECU's from an A7 on my RS5 due to water ingress. They work fine, just need to recode them as to make sure the spoiler is flush with the trunk lid when retracted. I think I posted the coding on the Ross-tech forum.

Hey all, anyone know the byte, bit to enable spoiler is 17 as the label file isnt showing the option, even if my cluster supports it & of course its saying incorrectly coded, I'll try to use deduction but prefer to tick just 1 lol.

Edit - Instruments 17, byte 5 bit 1, tick, error cleared for spoiler enabled.

 

Ok, next thing, spoiler not activating with speeds, anyone come across this, I wonder if this is because of a manual button operation beforehand, I'm sure I didnt manually raise & lower, I'll test further, but throwng it out there, TIA.

Mate I've gone from 50 to 85 on multiple occasions on a private road , car moves but spoiler doesn't lol

 

Is yours a pre 2010? Did it need the BCM swap?

 

2013 bcm 2 original coded fine, adjusted adapt 89 to 650 for default flat positioning, instruments advised as advised rear spoiler fitted, I may recode back to 780 too see what occurs, I'll retest tomorrow without any manual activation.

Side note, I'll be upgrading bcm 1 & 2 at some point for kessy, start button & adaptive headlights, if nothing helps beforehand we'll see if that helps.

 

I have factory adaptive headlights, start button and kessy on a facelift if you need any reference mappings.

 

Update, ok spoiler operates at speed, but only at 80-85mph on a private track, so I need to find the channel to adapt the speed it raises, it lowers at 50mph so that part is correct.

Can anyone please who has the spolier fitted & it raises at 70-74mph post up a adaptation channel map of 46 convneince in csv so I can compare mine to yours. TIA.

Channel 13 shows 87
Channel 97 shows 50

No label for them so not sure these are the ones, sometimes changing these can cause issues on systems that arent reversable lol, so ideall need to find what these are.

 

Are there different speeds that trigger the spoiler? As far as I know it raises at 135 kmh / 85 mph. Does the US market version behave differently?

 

Afaik the UK market is 70-74 for spoiler, but I can't see Audi setting it over the max 70 legal road speed, if you could provide some logs I'd appreciate it please, I'm UK btw.

 

Ok, so been playing, trial & error.

Found channel 86, change from 20610 to 21610 & hey presto it now raises at 70mph.

I'm still playing as want to find the limits for lowewring & raising, but glad to have found that, result

once you’ve found the limits can you post a summary round up detailing what you need to access and change to modify the raising and lowering of the active spoiler please.

 

I will do but test your spoiler with that setting see if it's universal.
