I wanted to give a quick review of APR Stage 1. I installed it on my 2010 A5 2.0T. It is night and day for sure. It took a good 10 or 15 miles until I could tell the ECU was fully adjusted to the tune. The car has a huge amount of torque for a 4cyl now, about 333 pounds. They say that the hp is now about 241. I have had it for about 2 weeks and have had no problems, engine lights, or anything out of the ordinary happpen. I also got the tune when the APR sale was going on. I got 4 programs (stock, 91, 93, valet), as well as engine code erase, throttle body realignment, and security lockout. The best part was my Audi dealer told me to do it. Usually a fullly loaded ECU, which is what I got, is about 1200, but the sale price was 599. I had GIAC for my old GTI 1.8T and decided to try APR this time. Hands down a better tune. It is hard to compare the two because they are different cars, but the smoothness and similar driving characteristics to stock make APR that much better in my opinion. Plus the gains for GIAC are 34 hp and 34 tq, where as APR is 40 hp and 71 tq. They did have to pull my ECU, but that is only needed for the first time. God for bid the dealer reinstalls the stock program, I do not have to pull my ECU to put APR back on it. I just reload it with the OBD tool. Post any questions if you have any. I just wanted to share my experience with the forum.

My dealer told me to install it, but just in case, I will always put it into stock mode when I bring it back, as well as lock the ECU from being able to change programs without my 4 digit code. You never can be too safe haha. I have a 6-speed tipronic.

I urge every forced induction car owner to get a remap!

In the case of the A5 2.0T FSI, the car is just super fun now and it is a shame it didn't come with the 265hp in the TT-S from the factory.

I could not agree more. Maybe they will up the hp and tq once they get ride of ther 3.2 version. I could see them raising it to maybe 225 or so to compete with the 328 and C class entry levels a little better.
