Another MMI 2G Hidden Menu question

I've got a 2009 S5. I believe It is equiped with the MMI 2G system.

I have tried the CAR + SETUP button push, but I can not get to any menus. No matter how many times I try, I can't seem to get just the CAR button to light.

Just to see if I had a 3G, I plugged in the VCDS and tried to access module 5F, but that controller is not available, so I'm pretty sure I have a 2G.

Any ideas?

Yes, you have the 2G MMI. You must first enable the hidden menu capability using VCDS. Use this sequence:

Select - 07-Control Head - Adaptation 10. The control head option should be available in the "installed" tab, but if not it's also available in the "Electronics 1" tab. Click the UP box to cycle to channel 8, and enter a new value of 1. Select "test", then "save," then "done, go back." > "Close controller, Go Back - 06."

Now reboot the MMI: press SETUP, MMI knob and upper right button simultaneously, and release. Once the MMI reboots you can access the hidden menu by pressing and hold the SETUP and then the CAR button for about 5 seconds. The hidden menu should appear -you can scroll down to see the various options.
