New to the board...haven't posted yet - still waiting for my S5. I put the deposit on it in January - the latest is October delivery. This is getting a little out of control with this wait. Dealer even said I am one of the lucky ones to be up for a 2009. They said there are orders that still won't be fulfilled for 2009.

There are three A5's (2 A5's (one red and one silver) and 1 S5 (Black) in the are. I work in Conshy...see them at least every other day. Drives me nuts that I am still waiting.

 

my a5 is arriving next month (09 model), so it would be interesting in comparing against the 08 models. But hopefully I won't see you too many of you guys around ..if u catch my drift....

 

Merfolk, where are you located? I would like to see the 09 model in person and compare it to the 08.... and do you have the pricing for the 09s?

 

Hey. A little late to the conversation but just got my S5 a week ago. I'm in Phoenixville, PA which is fairly close to the mainline. Maybe we'll (not literally) run into each other some day!

live right next to YBH audi in newtown square, pa. interested in the A5. have never owned an audi before. how's the reliability on them....more specifically the A5? how's the insurance cost? for our area? any feedback would be appreciated, thanks guy....

Have not seen an A5/S5 in the Del valley

Since taking delivery on 1/25/08 I have'nt seen a one! I'm in the Newtown, Bucks county area and would also like to "run into" another owner.

 

I was driving home from the Dover farmer's market on Saturday and passed a grey A5/S5 (couldn't tell which) just south of 202 on N Valley Forge Rd heading south... Anyone here?

 

@ bcheng4jc: My reliability has been good but only have just under 3000 miles on it. Have noticed a slight steering wheel vibration at ~60-65 mph and the occasional rough idle when in neutral. I will be talking to my dealer about these minor issues soon. As for insurance, mine went up $10/mth when compared to the 2005 Benz SLK 55 AMG the S5 replaced.

@ JohnPA: Welcome to the forum. Sorry, I don't know anything about chipping these cars. Mine's leased so I'm staying away from aftermarket mods.

@ Macwm. A brilliant red A5 did pass me on 76 eastbound about a month ago about 30 miles west of KOP, before I had my car. I was in my black SLK 55 at the time. It was the first one I had seen 'in the wild'. Could have been you.

I detailed a Meteor Grey S5 a little while back in Chalfont PA, so there's at least one more roaming around...

The Audi Music Interface is the iPod connection in the glove box. Comes with most cars but mine was / is from Feb 2008 so rather early and it doesn't have it. My car isn't in the shop, I was just at YBH asking for a retrofit.

We can def. get a good meet in the Delco area.

 

Hey everyone, new to the forum and just wanted to drop in and talk to some local A5 owners. I just ordered my 09 black A5 Sline from YBH audi on Thursday. There sales staff has been nothing but helpfull and great to me and i cannot wait for my end of june delivery.

Im interested in hearing about others experiences with there cars and hopefully it will pass the time till mine arrives.

Since i've moved to the area from detroit i have only seen one A5 (which is gorgeous) that i catch every so often on my way home from work on 202 into west chester. I also came across a parked metor grey S5 on sansom in center city near monks tavern.

cant wait for my summer arrival and to see these gorgeous machines out in full force this summer..

The total for the car is $50,650 after tax,tittle and all that jazz.
She's comming equiped with:

-Premium pkg
-nav pkg
-B&O stereo...

I decided against the tech pack cause i just felt the added cost wasnt worth it to myself.....im sure i'll miss it but i would have been happier if some of the tech pack was offerd as stand alone options.

The sales rep said it's a 70-80 day wait period and because im in no rush as of right now (im trying to privately sell my car) the order wont be put in till the end of this month...which i think is the last chance to grab an 09 before the model cycle changes.

I deal with Nate Flammini from YBH....Very low pressure helpfully guy that made the Audi buying experience more then worth it...also now is a great time to lock in because of special finance rates for the A5. i got set in at 2.8%....

cant wait for a local meet up, Driving on 202 today i caught a sprint blue pearl Sline comming my way.....made my day.

model year change would probably of been a better phrasing!!!

I was told i had till about the end of the month of pull the trigger on an 09' otherwise my wait would be a little bit longer but would be with a 2010...im not sure how true this is...or if there is any advantage (or price de/increase) with the 2010. Anyway i'm happy with 09' even if i get it a lil late in the model year!

I got 2.8% for 60 months......go to YBH talk to Nate and he will go over the special finance rates with you.

 

There is a price increase for the 2010. Decide if you want the LED taillights and new 3G MMI (currently in the Q5's). I can't remember the details but maybe you will get the new MMI which is sweet.

Im comming from a Black 06' Dodge Charger..... I was 20 when i bought it and i was convinced there was nothing cooler then that car lol....... It served it's purpose, but it's deff. not the car i thought i was getting, dodge really needs to re-think the name of that car.

Im hoping YBH can give me the trade in im looking for, it's been a pain trying to sell it myself.

23, moved out here about 8/9 months ago and i couldn't be happier with the area and the people.....i miss my detroit sports though :thumbsup:

p.s. sorry to be the new guy and hi-jackin the thread...i've seen very few of these cars in the area and to be able to own one and hopefully meet up and learn more about these cars from everyone is something im looking forward too.
