Hello i just purchased my first Audi A5 and i must say i'm in love with it. But i'm having a weird problem with the wireless key. When ever i go to a certain location the wireless key doesnt work at all the locks the ignition everything, it's like i dont have a key at all. Ofcourse when i put the physical key in the ignition then it works. My question is what's going on with the wireless key is there some sort of magnetic field where i'm parked? I know there is a substation near that parking lot but are the keys that sensitive? Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.

The key is subject to interference. Is it possible that location has a lot of interference?

I havent found any bad locations but I have found that my Iphone interferes with wireless key if they are both in the same pocket. Different pockets and its fine but next to each other it doesnt work.

I agree DD. I have found it a problem in France in particular where Public WiFi is far more commonplace. Although in saying that I had similar 'remote key malfunction' (also in France) with a Saab 95 Aero in 2001 when parked under some electric wires outside a Restaurant in the Vendee, seems these remote gizzmos are affected by all sorts of stuff... Bring back the Key!!:cheers:

Ok thanks; i guess i'll return the key and see what happens next but i went crazy trying to open the door but finally did it with the pull out key.

That exactly,the same to my A4L.I have been confused with the wireless key...
