I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

I don't have the car yet...I know THURSDAY (Mar. 19).

Anyways...I've already made an appointment to get my windows tinted on Friday. The owner knows about the electronics and everything, so we're good to go!!

He spoke of a ceramic based tint that is an option rather than the standard tinting which has a metallic base. He said the ceramic tint is used to decrease any interference for the navigation and electronics systems that the metallic tint can sometimes cause. Does this sound like something I may need? Has anyone had any problems with their electronics after window tinting, aside from the water issue?

I'd go with a ceramic tint to be on the safe side. (See this post.)

Listen to TX and get ceramic. That's what I have and I was told the same thing by tint shop when I was picking. =)
