Quite a lot of the tuning companies have jumped on the big charge cooler radiators, like APR, Forge, AMS etc but I think they are a little overpriced at over ÂŁ1000. Yeah, they've done some R&D. Bit like 2 grand for a stainless exhaust!

Anyway, the Merc Racing does look good value for money. Can you source it in the UK?

Are you getting just the radiator and then plumbing it yourself?

Yeah, I would be interested at the right price! :)

They are quite easy to fit, just some simple plumbing really. It would be mainly screw the rad to the back of the crash bar and 'extend' the OE pipes so they reach up.

Would you separate the coolant with a separate header tank?

I thought most messing would be getting the bumper off, but when I upgraded the intercooler on my 3.0tdi, it was suprisingly easy, about 10 or 15 mins!

Just looked at the IPE exhausts! o_O :D I think that is boardering on paying for the 'style' or 'art' rather than the actual purpose! :) I can understand inconel exhausts being expensive, but that's mainly the material. :)
But I wouldn't say no, if I had the surplus cash!

Ok i have place and order with Merc Racing directly so not to sure how long it will take to arrive, but when it does i will share the process with you all.

Cheers
Great, let us know. I presume you have ordered direct from the US then?

Yes i decide to buy direct as i got both the heat exchanger and the fitting kit plus the faster delivery for ÂŁ413, where some UK companies are selling it for ÂŁ500 plus fitting kit plus postage.
Great, that is more like a good price! ÂŁ1000 is way over if you ask me!

The import duty is a bit hit and miss. So long as they know you are a private individual. I bought an RS grille from China, and paid ÂŁ34 extra on fees.
