Got a 2011 S5 Cab. Hate the standard steering wheel. Ordered a flat bottom from Germany, got screwed on customs charges and then when my mate tries to fit it, he says the airbag doesn't fit, horn doesnt work and airbag light is coming on. Have asked wheel supplier to advise on part code for correct airbag but almost out of time to do a return on the wheel for refund.

You're probably going to need to source a airbag, and repin the plug to match your old wheel mate

Thanks for the reply mate. I sent the first wheel back as the airbag didnt fit properly and the horn didnt work. I've found another one and the seller believes it's correct. I'm going to try one more time, then I'm giving up

Is it just the plug that doesn’t fit or the entire airbag because I thought they were the same

Yeah it doesn't work for him either 😂 my mechanic said;

Tell company the airbag was too large and the bolt fittings were misaligned
One of the bolts goes in straight and the others, they're inclined at 45 degrees

I think Ash of AudiRetrofits constantly repins wheels i think as long as you can repin all the wheels work
