Could be a tyre. I had one starting to delaminate and it sounded like a wheel bearing failing. New tyre, no more noise

My tyres are all between 2 and 4mm and are PS4s, so they are due replacing soon. But I don't think it's that.
I have an independent VAG specialist just up the road from me, so at some point I'll book it in with them for investigation. It just feels like a lot of money to be throwing into not a lot of output, even though it needs to be done.

i didn’t think it was a tyre either. The only giveaway was the tread was not flat when you put a ruler across the width of the tyre.
