Of the S5 swapping the V8 for a V6?
From What I understand only the Convertable will get the V6.
I spoke to my dealer and he said that the coupe is keeping the V8 "for now".


P.S. V8 is the only reason I want to but the S.

Yes V8 for now but expect the V6 sometime round about 2010.

Supposedly, the V8 engine will remain in the S5 coupe through the 2010 model year. See the following post for more info.

But don't you guys thing that the V8 is one of the main reasons people are buying S5's???

I mean if it was not for the v8 I would get a 335 or an M3. I like the rear wheel drive for drifting and the amount of mods avliable. The S5 however has a great sound, the LED's and a better interior.

It would really suck if the S5 would ditch the V8.

The S5 losing the V8 would push me towards the M3 or a used R8!
