So after 6 years away from the A5 fold I am back but with a 2014 B8 RS5 in Suzuka Grey, I currently have the standard 19 inch alloys fitted to the car and they are soon to be replaced by the OEM Hyper Silver 20 inch alloys.

I have Pirellis fitted to my SQ5 plus running on 21s, just changed after 32000 miles and OEM fit.

Wondering if anyone recommends a different brand as the RS5 will be used differently from the SQ5. Any brands that complety stuff the ride or a certain brand that people have gone back to time and time again?

I've recently fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. They also tend to come out top in many reviews.

Michelin, usually have offers on for buying 2 or 4 tyres. I paid £520 for 4 255 35 19.

Michelin PS4s very good tyres and never slips on dry! Even wet it’s fantastic grip and very predictable!

The Michelins that came with my '18 (don't know the designation) were shot in <10K miles. (I wasn't having that much fun!)
Now on Goodyear Eagle Sports, and like them a lot (haven't tried them in snow yet, the Michelins were bad in snow too).

My S5 came with 'Blacklion Champoint' all round when I got it, rears needed replaced and I went with Goodyear Eagle F1s on the back, keeping the Blacklion on the front.

I'm a tyre snob having worked for Michelin many years ago and always disregard budget tyres when shopping for my own vehicles, but I genuinely can't fault these Blacklion tyres in summer, rain or snow. I'd never even heard of them before.

I think they're Chinese ! I am sure I've seen them out here in the desert.

So I have gone for the Pzero, as Kwik fit the (only local to me) tyre fitters that I trust and they are doing it at the house. They fitted the tyres on the SQ5, so 20 shouldn't be an issue.

New wheels fitted. The chap from kiwi-fit was superb and had the job done in 40 minutes. Looks stunning now just needs a throughly good clean.
