bang for your buck

hey guys. before you guys comment, of course i know the best way to make a car louder is getting a full exhaust. however i want to see if theres any other parts i can get besides from an exhaust. i want the car a little louder than stock, but trying to avoid getting a full exhaust. will downpipes achieve this? thanks in advance.

The easiest and cheapest way to get it to sound mean would be to leave the center muffler alone, remove the back muffler and just add pipes in its place.It will sound very very good.:bolt:

^ exhaust sounds good! very nice. but im a little iffy about getting all these seprate parts and havign a shop do such custom work for the exhaust. i think im more comfortable finding simple bolt ons for the stock exhaust, much easier that way lol. dont want it to turn out like a frankenstein. but dont get me wrong, ur setup was pretty sick.

This is easy for a muffler shop. You keep the old muffers so they can reinstal when you get old or want to sell her.

Holes

Dont just put a hole in the muffler or pipe. To get a good growl you must have a small mid muffler. unless you like a hisssing sound.

Just to clarify, my comment about putting a hole in the muffler was a joke. Please don't do that...

JOKE OR NOT, ONE OF OUR AUDI FRIENDS DID DO THAT IN AN INTERESTING WAY. HE HAD A MUFFLER SHOP PUT AN EXTRA PIPE COMING OUT OF THE REAR OF THE TWO MUFFLERS TO MAKE IT A 4 PIPE EXHAUST, NOW IT LOOKS LIKE AN S5 EXHAUST. HE CLAINS IT MADE IT ALIITLE LOUDER.
