Hi All
Was hunting through VAG-COM today and found that you can apply a light sensor correction. Now if i am correct this will enable you to change the auto timing of your lights at dusk. Addiitonally, a further setting exists for the windscreen wipers.
I must state at this time, this is not totally proven, as I need to test different settings each day (dusk) to establish the correct value. The basic premise of using this approach is that different Audi vehicles have different windscreen tints from clear to armour security glass.
A5 Coupe default correction setting = 53%
A5 Cabriolet default correction setting = 86%
Go to: [Centr Elects - 09]
Select: [Coding - 07]
Select: [Drop down to #2]
Select: [Long Coding Helper]
Select: [Byte 1] = Light Sensor Correction (Drop down Menu)
You will be given the option of selecting a range of Audi vehicles - some with different windreen types. I tested a number of the different options to see if the coding was accepted, all of those tested were accepted.
If my assumption is correct, selecting a 'clear' window setting (#21) will delay the onset of the autolights due to the existing tint in the A5 range, but the sensor thinking the windscreen is a clear type.
Will be interested to hear if anyone else experiences anything different.
Additionally, by seleting [Byte 2] you can also adjust the settings for the windscreen wipers in the same way as above.
Drop down #2
