How many miles on the car and why u need a new transmission pal?

Greetings,
My 2013 S5 needs a new transmission. The transmission code in the car is NSC. Apparently low mileage NSC transmissions are almost impossible to find, and also very expensive.
I have read that the NSC transmission can be physically replaced with a PWW transmission, then programmed to work with the car.
Has someone in this forum gone this way? Or any advise regarding the NSC transmission?

The car has 45k miles, 2 shops have diagnosed the transmission and declared it beyond repair. I am not a mechanic, but 2 separate shop had the same opinion.
Can you describe the problems? It is usually the mechatronic or clutches.

Basic problem: The car will not go on any gear. 2 hops in the Atlanta area deemed the transmission damaged beyond repair.
The link that you pint out is where I read that one transmission code can be replaced for another.

Deutsche Auto Parts did a video where they replaced the transmission with one with a different code.
45k miles for a new transmission is worrying!!!
Have you consulted a VAG specialist???
