Well guys had 8 days down to Le mans and a few days touring and just got to say the A5 was just great to live with superbly comfortable MPG average 48.8 decent luggage space loads of admiring looks even had a nice young French lady swooning (THE CAR) IMHO its the perfect car for long distance Continental touring :D

Sounds great - I nearly made it this year, but will be going next year for sure. Last time I went was back in 1991 I think when Mazda won with their screeming rotory Group C car.
The Mazda got totaled in Thursday practice they spent hours upon hours on rebuild come to think of it do not remember it running at all. Really close race at the end with Audi victorious by 1 lap, Astons winning GT1 class:D

Having did 18,000 miles in the car now, what's starting to bug me is the offset pedals.

On long journey's it's just so uncomfortable... feels like i'm sitting at a twisted angle, and sometimes I just can't wait to get out of the car.
It does not seem to bother me I must be twisted come to think of it;)

Hutch. I did the fill to the brim then refill worked it out 46 ish, the computer read out was 48.8. The drive was 120 miles A roads in France no traffic hold ups then 170 miles from Portsmouth to home motorway duel carriage way late at night 75mph average. Even commuting between where I was staying and the circuit (Le Man) i returned 40 ish and that was not hanging about. When filling up now the distance I get on the DIS is 580 miles. I am well happy:D

2 pints in bordoux (Spelling) 14 euro's, 2 pints in orleans 13.4 euro's. I would book an hotel next to a supermarket and drink in the car park !!!
I agree its quite a shock. We did a tour in Sep 06 right from Calais down to Malaga god knows what it would cost now
