Yesterday, with a grand total of 120 miles on the clock of my beautiful new Quartz Grey A5, an elderly gentleman drove into the back of me. Now as this was in Holmfirth, I suppose I should have been on the lookout for daft old codgers, but he took me by surprise pulling out of a side road (at least he wasn't coming down the hill in a bath tub or some such).*
Anyway, fortunately there's very little damage done. Just a few small paint scratches low down on the rear bumper, out of main sight and nothing really worth bothering the bodyshop / other party's insurance co for. I was wondering whether I might have a go at the scratches with touch-up paint though. Is this a bad plan? Am I likely to make it look worse? Best left alone? If it does make semse to have a go, any tips on how to do it well,
*Sorry, for non-Brits, this will make no sense. See here.
