Thoughts on supercharger belt service interval?

1011 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Dippy
I'd be interested in people's thoughts on when to change the supercharger belt on a CREC stage 2 tuned engine.

Audi service schedule for stock is to change at 60,000 miles. My car has a Gates Micro-V belt (7PK1325). Gates product info has their belts good for 90,000 miles.

At the moment, I'm thinking it would be sensible to follow the rule of thumb for tuned cars and halve the service interval; in this case renew the belt at 30,000 miles.

What has anyone else done or is planning on doing

Imo would suggest just inspect it or ask garage to every year when you take it in for a service. For the price of the belts and how easy they are to change just do it every 2-3yrs irrespective to millage.

Got my 7 year service coming up. The car's only done 23K from new and stage 2 from about 9K but I'm having both belts changed. I partly decided to because its having plugs and filters changed and a complete s-tronic service including gear oil so I thought I might as well go for the whole lot (sports diff was fully serviced at year 5).
