i read (somewhere here i believe) that the upgrade for the 2009 A5 is a new head unit which accepts mp3 player input.

Now really it should have been included as standard but i forgot the glovebox option and audi quote nearly £500 retrofit.

So how much would a new 2009 head unit cost? more than £500? and could it be a straight swap for my bose sound head unit?

The 2009 A5 has been on sale a while now and the sales booklet still lists AMI. So, it doesnt look like it.
