Obligatory photo shoot in a parking garage. It was pretty late in the day, so lighting wasn't so good, and I don't own a decent flash, so we were pretty limited as to what kind of shots to take. I think next time, Sizzle will have to bring his gear so we can take some outdoor shots.
Total oddity that I just noticed -- quartz grey looks more washed out on Firefox than it does on other browsers. FF (I'm using v3.0 for Mac) applies a real-time auto contrast to all images. If you save it to our desktop or view it with a different browser, you'll get a more accurate representation of quartz.
Also, not sure if it affects your decision at all, but the grey plastic pieces (rear valance, front grill) are the same color on both cars, but look entirely different next to the different paint colors. See attached.
I'm actually trying a new configuration recommended by a few people who do shows, which is dark on the rear glass (not sure what the visibility % is) and medium on the other four, with no tint in the front of course.
The result is that if you look at the car from the back, front, or quarter angle, it looks like the car is dark all around, but if you look at the car directly from the side, as the police might if they're checking to see if you are illegally tinted, it's only medium.
It looks pretty natural, and unless I tell people, you can't notice that there's a step difference between the rear glass and rear quarter glass, because the perception of the rear quarter is dark because there is less light going in through the back glass and coming back out through the rear quarter.
