Winter here in Cornwall and an unusually warm (16 degrees C) day.
Here's a picture of St Ives, taken from Gwithian looking out over the bay..



Heavy Cornish mizzle with visibility so restricted there could have been anything out there..

Not in the least bit jealous......!..

That's a decent sized ship, I remember seeing the Abrahams battle group off coast of Perth once,. Something ominous about a carrier off the coast.

HMS Tyne is a 'River' class Offshore Patrol Vessel and categorised as a minor warship.

Your photograph is a much larger and more heavily armed 'Duke' class Type 23 frigate.

Appreciate the correction HTB....

Turns out it was
HMS WESTMINSTER (F237) and as you say a different kettle of fish.
