Recently brought 2012 A5 that had been standing a long time with same problem (n/s front).A calliper that sticks may be serviceable but problem may occur again and eventually have many knock on effects. They are cheap to buy so replace it.

WARNING...if your wheel is very hot to touch then you may have damaged the pads and warped the disc as well.New calliper or not you should check them.

I ended up replacing calliper, both front discs and pads on mine.Genuine Audi parts were around £400

The weird thing is, I e changed the pins and it’s pretty much cured. The piston certainly isn’t seized and if I’m honest the pins don’t appear right enough to cause an issue.

The piston on mine was the problem...Drove 120 miles home with it using gears to slow me down.Horrendous judder for a few minutes every time i touched brakes. The heat destroyed everything.Glad you got it sorted 👍
