I've had this a couple of times, normally when it was raining. Seemed to resolve itself both times and couldn't find any codes when I scanned it.
I’ve had another issue today (10/2/2022), at 9:10am; with the Audi 1.8 TFSI Petrol convertible 2013 model.
The car runs fine and I took it down the motorway this morning After dropping off my daughter at school. I manually deactivate the start stop button. however I just received the following message “Automatic start/stop: system fault! Function unavailable.” The car cut out whilst coming to a stop; and when I press the button to deactivate again the start / stop the engine cuts out and I’m then having to start the car manually with the Key from scratch (taking it out of the ignition and back in). This happened whilst cars were behind me.
Another message then appeared on the dash and read “ Start/stop system: deactivated. Please start engine manually".
The man where I purchased this that these are common issues with the start / stop and are a headache and mentioned about a lot of things being on at the same time can contribute towards this??
I have emailed an Audi specialist to gain additional knowledge on this fault due to my partner as the Audi A3 S-line (2016) since new from Audi and her start stop function always works whether the car is hot or cold and whichever other functions she is using; it still continues to operate fine.
anyone else had these similar issues or warning signs flag up ?
