Shark fin. Dismantle

I'm having the zero satellites issue and going to change the shark fin. There's loads on ebay with the correct part number but amazingly none are black. I see there's 6 screws under it. Does any one know if you can simply change the cover.

I'm having the same problem with 0 satellites but im not using the navigation system so im in no rush to fix it.
If I was to give it a go i would try to buy a new antenna, plug it into the MMI and leave it somewhere in the dash like in the video here;
