Try Senner for english version.

Personally I believe Senner Tuning are well over priced and no better than the likes of Milltek on the exhausts or MRC on tuning.

As you've seen APS of Brackleyare offering a group buy option on Milltek RS5 exhausts ... http://www.a5oc.com/forums/rs5-general-q/21472-interest-rs5-milltek-exhaust.html
Never know APS might also be able to offer an ECU map as part of their special pricing, certainly worth asking!

MRC of Banbury (not far from APS) have two tune options available for the RS5 Remapping
Stage 1 generic tune for all standard cars: £800
Stage 2 custom tune for a specific specification of mods: £990

Cheers for the reply.

I saw that Ed had posted a thread re: Milltek supply and fit - I've expressed an interest.

However, AmD Tuning Essex are currently quoting £2014 fitted for the Milltek exhaust + £499 for the remap (-50% discount on the remap):
AmD website: We will be offering 50% off an AmD Tuning Performance Remap when purchasing a Milltek Sport Exhaust System! This still includes FREE fitting with before and after rolling road runs.
I was just curious whether the Senner tuning exhaust is that much different than the Milltek and also whether that's a chipped ECU?

IMO the RS doesn't actually need a lot more power but it would benefit from a wider band of power and more torque. Therefore we need is a number of RS owners to express an interest in a forced induction conversion then there might be enough intrest to cover the R & D and we could maybe get a group discount.

How many takers and how much would you be prepared to pay for say 10 - 15% more power over twice the rev range?

I certainly am not interested at the 10k plus mark from the superchargers. Guess now rs in the states this will come in time anyway. I agree £800 for 20hp is pointless. Matador in for remap soon so see how that works out too i guess

Some mods such as suspension, exhausts etc we do because it suits our particular desires and intended driving style. Those mods may not suit the broader market but we dont really care if they do what we want.

Remaps on the other hand IMO are a different matter.
20hp in 450 sounds pathetic but in practice the gains can be more noticable becuase ( if done properly ) it optimises the characteristics of your particular engine and build tolerances to give better throttle response, smoother power delivery etc.

However, that is for that engine, on that day, with that fuel, at that temp, pressure, humidity etc etc. It does not mean that those gains will be the same when any of those parameters change, and it's those variations that Audi design and test for. So for that reason remaps are not for me.

Agree to a certain degree Graham.

However those tolerances Audi build into the design are to cover the whole market i.e. 50c in Abu Dhabi to minus god no's what in other parts of the world and for fuel of far lesser quality than ours. We are very lucky in the UK to be reasonably slap bang in the middle of those figures all the time. Therefore you could also argue that in the UK's case there is plenty room for maneuver so why not take advatange of it. It's one of the few things the UK's good for these days!
