I've not got my car yet so this may be a bit presumptive of me but are there any meets scheduled for the early part of next year in the south east of England?

None that I know about as yet, but it sounds like a very good idea. There are a number of us in Kent, Surrey, and now Sussex who are awaiting our cars between next week and the next few months.

Perhaps start the ball rolling by suggesting possible venues? Generally, a countryside pub with an unusually large car park and a car-club-friendly landlord is the tried and tested formula?

I'd be up for meeting up... Having KW2 coilovers, spacers and exhaust fitted next weekend if you wanted to check them out. I live in Bucks but would be happy to make it a road trip.

Think there would be plenty of interest in a SE meet. I should be able to make something from november. So if you have any suggestions go ahead and put something forward.

OK, I'll try to suss out a pub or nine nearish to me here in Brighton and see how I go. If anyone else can have a butcher's in their local area for a car-club friendly pub it would be appreciated. I'm sure we can get something sorted out for when we have our cars. :)

That's good to know - thanks! ;)

Well, seeing as it's effectively your gig - if you're not 'invited', I guess no-one is!

Might be quite tantalising for you to organise the first meet before you get your car - oooh, the agony of it all......!

It's agonising enough reading the forums, let alone being somewhere with loads of them and none of them being mine! :D

Well, hopefully mine will turn up this year, sooner rather than later, and I can join you all properly.

If I organise a meet, i'll definitely try to make sure it's after I get mine, to be honest. Mainly because I swapped jobs recently and lost my company car so I haven't got my own car at the moment.

Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on that! :)

I'm good for the Royal Standard too. As for dates, I'm happy with a November meet. I don't think I have any dates that I can't do at the moment, although work may take precendence if necessary.

Obviously, from a purely selfish point of view, the later we leave it, the more chance of my car being here.
