Apologies if this has been asked many times. Do Sat Nav updates work on different models? Or are then specific to that model? Then my next question is how the hell do you update it?

Just had my A5 coupe sorted. All you need is the version number of your MMI. Then search for updates on ebay and then , using your version number, 3 sd cards will be made for it. Cost £50

Disagree. Had a Ford Kuga before this. Mega easy. Download onto a USB, plug in and it does it. Not so many different variants. I just don’t get it at all.
This is what is has at the mo and I’ve no idea what I need or how.

First update mmi software, update map, activate, done. Takes 2 hours.

Why is there 2 Stock Firmware and 2 Modified Firmware? Do you need all 4? How do you know what you need? I dont get it at all?
