S5 Reverse Gear..

Have you tried reversing any distance in your S5 ?? I have to reverse down the road up my drive to the garage. Not wanting to slip the clutch, I find the car either kangaroos or goes balls out backwards and takes some controlling. my neighbours know to keep clear when I get back from work. No other car I've owned has been quite so brutal in reverse. Anyway my real concern is the clutch judder as it pulls away in reverse gear, is this characteristic or common to S5's ???

Experienced that aswell, but I don't have to do that regularly anyway. I know this is bad to do and probably not a good idea if you have to do it daily, but I found pressing the clutch down a little helped, although i'm sure this is going to ware the clutch away alot quicker.
NOt noticed the problem, but I have a tendancy to ride the clutch in reverse anyhow.

...One thing I did notice though is that the digital speedo works in reverse!

It's probably the same problem I have been reporting ( type "jerky" in the search to find it ).
I back quite a ways out of my mom's drive. Similar issues. However I find getting above 20 mph in reverse quite fun. Especially in the winter where you can put it back into first and then start the snow slinging.

Graham, apologies if you've posted this data elsewhere - any updates on your meeting with Audi re. this issue?
