Hi guys, thats fine graham, it will probably end up sitting in my garage, lets agree a price and i will get it sent straight to you if you like??
yo, jugger....gonzolicious, how long did it take them to do the work and how much did they charge you? this is the first mod I am having done when I pick up my S5,but want to make sure to have it done by reputable/capable shop.
I only wanted the spare exhaust to "play" with so wasn't prepared to pay what it's actually worth. So if you haven't already, then contact Colli.Hi guys,
I would be very interested in buying an exhaust system of any of you guys please getr in touch to make arrangements.
Hi Ian,Guys, Audi Driver Magazine will be running a feature about our S5 day at APS... here's a sample press photo of my car from the day that they have sent me.
Please respect the image rights of the photographer and magazine by not copying or distributing this picture. Thanks!
'Hi guys, am taking delivery of my S5 this Friday. Had ordered it at end of October'07 and was told delivery would be mid-July'08 but I guess Audi had a spurt of productivity and hey presto it’s all going to happen this week, it suddenly feels like Christmas again and I’m 12 years old... roll on Friday
I’ve just come across the YouTube upload for Ian’s (Ianhp1) S5, it sounds and looks great. Having read everything you’ve had to say about APS it looks like I need to be booking my car in asap.
Ian I don’t recall you saying anything about your car being remapped – so can I assume you’ve left the electronics alone and just dealt with the exhaust? If so, I’m guessing BHP hasn’t improved but has that 0-60 dash now dropped below 5 seconds?
By the way I’ve recently seen that the S5 is now available with optional 20” alloys. I tried to get my order amended but at this late stage Audi wanted nearly £3,500 for the pleasure so I guess I’ll be sticking with the standard 19”.
I have to agree Ian - in fact a mate saw the car for the first time yesterday and asked what size the wheels were - when I told him they were 19s, he said "They look much bigger" (the car was clean, which makes a difference....!). I like the OEM 20s from an architectural standpoint but don't think they're aesthetically necessary or indeed worth the money Audi are asking. Also, can't even imagine how my spine would suffer with 20s (and is it 30-profile rubber?) on my car as it's set-up at present!'
IMO - the S5 looks better (lower and more aggresive) with 19" alloys once lowered than with 20" from all the photos I've seen.
Thats most likely because they were charging you for the full set of wheels in addition to the wheels already coming with your car. Were they going to give you both sets or just one?By the way I’ve recently seen that the S5 is now available with optional 20” alloys. Got my prices - too tempting !...It's amazing what a few pints of guiness can do to your wallet!!
Ed will look after you without my input! I'm sure it'll be worth the drive... if you can coordinate it with an OC meet, you can make the trip worthwhile!
The S5 engine is actually a very different block than the R8 and RS4 one of the only similarities is the capacity.......shame as 420bhop would be funWhat I don't understand is why doesn't an ECU remap give you the same 420 HP as in the R8 and RS4. I was told that the engine in these cars is the same as the engine in the S5, the only difference being that the S5 engine is detuned.
£1600 sounds like a good deal to me for all that - how many extra horseez and torque do you get?Hey all,
Well, i'm a new member and within two minutes I have just booked into APS next Weds for Milltek, Springs, Spacers and Remap. You've just cost me £1600
Very informative post and great pics. Thanks! I'll post mine once completed next week.
